salad resultant to you for lunch?

I was shopping around for a good paper shredder for my office and the best deal I found was on a Dahle 20422
The price was under $1000 and was for a great quality machine that can handle a decent amount of shredding but overall is not too big.
I found the best price on it here:http://www.paper-shredders-direct.com/Da…

Basically, the size of the pieces the shredder makes. A strip shredder, especially if the strips are fairly wide, isn’t all that secure. It’s not that hard to get the strips back together. The narrower the strips, the more secure. Then there’s the shredders that cut a narrower strip and cut them into short pieces as well. This is harder to piece back together. The smaller the pieces, the more secure the destruction. Some shredders are called confetti shredders because the pieces are about the size of confetti. This wiki article at the link below spells out the sizes for the various security levels.
“DIN 32757
Level 1 = 12 mm strips
Level 2 = 6 mm strips
Level 3 = 2 mm strips (Confidential)
Level 4 = 2 x 15 mm particles (Commercially Sensitive)
Level 5 = 0.8 x 12 mm particles (Top Secret or Classified)
Level 6 = 0.8 x 4 mm particles (Top Secret or Classified) (unofficial extension of the DIN 32757-1 standard)”

The one I am looking at says “sheets x speed”, but what exactly does that mean?

Just something for use around the house. As cheap as possible while still getting something that won’t break right away.

Maybe it was a TV show or even a commercial.
I remember thinking it was hilarious.

Mine just clogged up really bad, which it does quite often. Like after about 10 papers and an envelope.
Once it clogged so bad it wouldn’t even go into reverse so my husband rebuilt it somehow.
I need one that will keep going and not clog up so fast.
