If You Own A Paper Shredder, Which Is More Convenient?
My first was a hand turn one and it caused pain in my hand, so I returned it.
The electric one is better.

why would you want to shred undies in the first place??

I saw the definition on wikipedia, but couldn’t figure out the advantages!

Shoot! Papers shredder can last up to 25 years if you properly maintain them. I saw one from the 80’s in an office a few weeks back.
The key to extending the life of a shredder is an auto oiler. This simple feature can more than double the life of any paper shredder. I have one in my office and it still purrs like the day I bought it.
I found a similar model online at www.monomachines.com. I also listed a few actual machines with auto oilers so you can get a feel for what they look like as well.

I was shopping around for a good paper shredder for my office and the best deal I found was on a Dahle 20422
The price was under $1000 and was for a great quality machine that can handle a decent amount of shredding but overall is not too big.
I found the best price on it here:http://www.paper-shredders-direct.com/Da…

Sorry I know this isn’t the right section to be asking but didn’t get any replies in consumers. I know this section is usually busy.
I need one, I have tons of personal papers, old pay stubs, old loans, credit reports, etc. that I need to get rid of. Don’t want to spend a fortune but dont want junk either. What would you suggest? Any that you think are better than others? Prices?

I have a very large quantity of paper to shred and recycle. On-site shredding services are expensive. I am wondering how well a wood chipper would work on paper and whether it would shred into small enough pieces, etc.

Maybe it was a TV show or even a commercial.
I remember thinking it was hilarious.

I’m not doing it. I was just wondering in case. Sometimes Walmart is out and the pet store only carries pine.

I have a small quiet office and I do not want something too loud. Is it possible to compare decibels or is there are particular type I can find that are quieter?
